This type of pushchair is really quite a new concept and was introduced by Mamas and Papas with their highly successful Pliko Pramette and A3 Pramette. The concept was really driven by the parent's desire to have their baby laying flat for as long as possible and also having face to face contact with their new baby during those early developmental months. But didn't want or have the space for the large traditional 3 in 1 style prams. So Mamas and Papas came up with the idea of a pram that can simply convert into a pushchair. This has been achieved by an ingenious seat that unzips from itself and fastens to the bumper bar to form a lie flat position. The hood also reverses so you can see baby. This lie flat position is used for the first few months while the baby's body develops. After a few months you will find baby wanting to look around a little more and becoming more interested in his or her surroundings. At this point the seat can simply un-zip from around the bumper bar and fastened back to the top of the seat, and the hood reverses back to the forward facing position. You now have a forward facing buggy which can of course recline flat and can also attach the Primo Viaggio infant carrier to form a versatile travel system.
