A Travel System can best be described as either a first stage car seat or carrycot that can integrate with a pushchair or pram. On most travel systems the car seat or carrycot simply clicks into place on the pushchair as in the Mamas and Papas Pliko Mod or Pliko Pramette.
The obvious benefit of any travel system is the ease in which baby can be transferred from the car to the pushchair without having to wake baby.
A Travel System is an economical way to buy both your car seat and your pushchair offering you a coordinated and integrated solution.

In this category a personal favourite of ours is the Silver Cross 3D Pram System. This travel system is adaptable, comfortable and practical. The Silver Cross 3D Pram System is the best of both worlds. From birth, baby can really enjoy a really comfy, lie flat position facing mum, thanks to the unique body lining system. The specially designed mattress and lining system ensures that baby is comfortable in a true lie-flat position. Your baby will be guaranteed the smoothest of rides with the addition of the soft wrap baby support which gently harnesses your baby. The pram then converts into a forward facing pushchair which you can then attach the Silver Cross Ventura car seat to form one of the best travel systems on the market. Mamas and Papas also offer a similar system, the only real difference is the M&P Pramette does not feature a liner, but the car seat comes with a base to aid easy installation of the car seat into your car.

The options do not finish there. Now most pushchair manufacturers have made it possible to integrate a car seat onto their pushchairs. Many companies partner with a car seat manufacturer to save on the huge development costs involved in bringing a car seat to market. One on the most widely used car seats is the Maxi-Cosi Cabrio, which now comes as a Cabrio Fix allowing integration with an Isofix base.
Quinny as a sister company to Maxi-Cosi use the Cabrio on their Buzz and Zapp pushchairs. Also one of our favourite "off-roaders" the XTS uses the Cabrio to good effect.
