Getting around with a baby is much easier when your pushchair folds down to the size of a small cabin bag. The Stokke YOYO⁵ is an ultra compact pushchair built for city streets, public transport and family holidays, and it works from birth because the Newborn Pack is included. It stays with your child until around four years old, so it is a purchase you can rely on for years rather than months. If you are searching for a lightweight pushchair for newborns that also copes with everyday life and travel, the YOYO⁵ is well worth a close look.
A Fully Flat Start for Your Newborn
The Stokke YOYO⁵ Newborn Pack gives your baby a lie flat place to rest from their very first outing. It has a 2.5cm mattress with extra head support, and your baby faces you, so you can see them, talk to them and spot the moment they need you. An integrated five point harness keeps them secure, while the ventilated canopy and a breathable mesh panel at the foot end help air circulate when the weather changes. The pack folds together with the frame, so your pushchair stays just as compact during those early months.
One Hand Fold for Busy Days
When you have a baby in one arm and a bag in the other, folding a pushchair can feel like a puzzle. The YOYO⁵ has a new one hand folding system, so a single movement collapses the frame and leaves your other hand free. The handlebar folds down as well, which makes it easier to tuck away in a boot, a cupboard or a narrow hallway. Folded, it measures just 52 x 45 x 22cm and weighs around 7kg, and the padded shoulder strap makes it comfortable to carry. It is designed to suit most airline cabin baggage allowances, although allowances vary, so always check with your airline before you travel.
Comfort and Smooth Handling as They Grow
When your baby is ready, you simply switch to the YOYO⁵ 6+ seat. It offers an adjustable recline, an integrated leg rest, a soft head cushion and an adjustable five point harness, so your child can sit up, relax or stretch out on the move. Four wheel suspension helps soften bumps and uneven pavements, and the responsive steering makes light work of crowded shops and tight corners. The refined front wheels are also less likely to catch when you fold the frame, which saves a little frustration on every journey.
Practical Features for Everyday Family Life
The canopy has three adjustable positions, with an enlarged ventilation window for warmer days and a larger peekaboo window so you can check on your little one without stopping. Underneath, the spacious basket holds up to 10kg and can be reached from both the front and the back, which is useful for shopping, changing bags and everything else you take out with you. The fabrics are machine washable too, so muddy park walks and snack spills are easy to put right. Little touches like these add up over months of daily use. Together, these details make the YOYO⁵ a dependable choice for parents looking for a compact pushchair that works from birth.
